![]() Intro: Please can someone provide an easy solution to this problem of INSTALLING Strange Eons on a MAC. What I Have: MacBookPro, Leopard 10.5.8, 32bit Intel 1. I have downloaded Strange Eons or strange-eons-osx-b2668 2. I have downloaded supplemental 32 Beta version soylatte or openjdk6-b16-24_apr_2009-r1 3. I have read both the read me file associated with the install and the informational supplements to attempt the unix based instructions. Currently I am having difficultly with step 3 within the that states 'Open a new Finder window and choose Go| Go to Folder and enter /usr/local. The folder will open; create a new subfolder here called soylatte (or whatever you like—but remember the name for later).' If that doesn't offer you a Java update, well, you might be screwed. Again an area where Macs suck, because almost all Java download pages point Mac users back to Apple Inc to get any Java updates. Apparently since i have leopard i cannot install the 1.6 java package. I think this is what is hanging me up. I need snow leopard. I cant believe SE wont run on a Leopard OS. The other SE package says it does not support this archtitecture. No idea what that means. Any ideas with the leopard OS for mac for install with this?
